The first EP released from the band via Norwegian label Propeller Recordings - a ferocious four tracker.

It hasn’t taken long for Norway’s SLØTFACE to set the agenda. Every opportunity they get, the fire-starting four piece bring fearlessness and defiance to the table, fusing a pop-punk aesthetic with something new. It begins with the name turning heads, but the songs go several steps further.

‘Sponge State’ EP features the breakout hit of the same name, “a frenzied call to arms” pulling play from the likes of Annie Mac, Huw Stephens, Phil Taggart (BBC Radio 1), John Kennedy (Radio X) and Matt Wilkinson (Beats 1); also named Radio 1’s Tune Of The Week – “sheer power-pop gold”.

‘Sponge State’s partnering video also made headlines, with the band embroiled in a peaceful protest against a government-approved Nordic Mining post dumping more than 250 million tonnes of chemicals in the fjord at Førde.
